Challenge

Made in Mind's design was strikingly slim, a bold departure from the bulky form of traditional plugs. Bringing it to life meant meeting the UK's rigorous electrical safety standards. There's a reason Britain has one of the largest plugs in the world.

What we did

We led the engineering through a complex development journey, making every hinge, contact and moving part meet the British Standard.

Outcome

A slim, folding plug that meets the UK's rigorous electrical safety standards in full, now certified and officially launched as the Mu. The project opened the door to what is now an industry standard in the UK: plugs far less bulky than the original design.
